Works-For-Me-Wednesday-- diapers

I decided it was time for Baby Sally to give her own helpful hints on Works For Me Wednesday. Snugglebug loves to change diapers but the doll diapers don't last very long. For Christmas, SB got PREEMIE disposable diapers and they fit great! The tabs are mostly velcro so they are reusable. For several days, many times, we heard "Sally has a poopy diaper". Needless to say, the diapers were a hit.

Now, if I can just find some decent clothes for Baby Sally...

So, that is what works for Baby Sally.

Dentist Part Two...

I think a pediatric dentist makes a big difference as well as having 2 older siblings to watch. The staff does an excellent job of explaining the equipment and what is happening. The decor, waiting room and exam rooms are child friendly. There are TV screens on the ceiling where they can watch their favorite DVD. The giant sticker and prize box help as well.

Add all that to being familiar with what goes on by watching the rest of the family get their teeth cleaned and it made for a really good dental visit.

I might enjoy going to the dentist if I had all that too. I don't know why I have never taken my MP3 player to listen to. I think I always felt rude not listening/mumbling to the hygienist during that time.

Baby Sally goes to the Dentist... Part One

Baby Sally did indeed go to see Dr. Linda today for the first time. She was a little nervous so she took her little toy puppy and Snugglebug with her for support. Sally climbed right up into the chair like an old pro. I think the promises of being able to raid the HUGE treasure box was a big motivator. No sit, No treat. Sally had a difficult time choosing whether to watch Dora and Hannah Montana on the screen on the ceiling. Dora won out in the end.

Sally sat so still and was a good listener. She got 3 stickers for doing such a good job. She only has one tooth according to Snugglebug so the exam was short.

Snugglebug did well too. It was her first visit as a patient. She was so cooperative that she got an exam, cleaning, full xrays, and a fluoride treatment. That is unprecedented in the Bug household. My theory of why she is different has two parts to it.

Stay tuned...

Free painting software!

My MIL just emailed me about a free software program that they are using at her school called Tux Paint. It is so cool! It has life-like images and easy to use options of stamps, painting, letters, shapes and more. My kiddos love to mess with the "Paint" program on our computer but this is much more user friendly. I have just downloaded it and it is easy to start, stop and to play with.

Check it out at TUX PAINT!

Plane trip

Baby Sally tagged along for our trip to the Gparents over T-giving. I wish you coulda seen her head out the side of Snugglebug's roller back pack as we were going down the aisle of the plane. That poor doll's head almost hit every other base of the seats. Bonk, bonk, bonk... She didn't even blink. She is a tough little thing.

While we were visiting we stopped at a nearby Goodwill to have a dollar day. Each child got a dollar to spend. SB found a new friend for Sally with a paci. Her name is Baby Ashlynn. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

Mimie got her another friend who talks. That friend was not allowed to play at our house and had to stay at Mimie's. Rats! Not! I am getting good at finding the talking box and looking for the "off" switch. Can you imagine what the TSA at the airports would have thought if they heard that thing saying a muffled "I love you" as it went through the xray machine?

Baby Sally: She's everywhere you want to be...

Notice a pattern? She's EVERYWHERE!
Sally needs her seatbelt, her own stuffed pig, a bag, accessories, and blankie.

Sliced Bread or Yesterday's News?

Sally has been a busy girl. She made dinner for everyone but had a hard time getting the dishes washed by herself. She kept falling in the sink.
SB took her for a walk. Notice the deer-caught-in-the-headlights look on her face. It is there for a reason. One might think it is the way Sally was made but I am convinced it is because she knows SB might just give her a little push just to see what happens when the stroller falls off a 4 foot retaining wall . One minute Sally is the best thing since sliced bread and the next minute she is yesterday's news on the floor beneath your feet especially if Hannah Montana is on. But Hannah is a story for another day.
